Coutryside Code
Many of the paths cross farmland. We have a duty of care to our farmers and therefore ask that users abide by the Countryside Code, keeping to the marked footpaths, shutting gates behind them, keeping dogs under strict control and taking their litter home. This is also for your own safety.
More information about the Countryside Code can be found at the Government Website. (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/the-countryside-code)
Safety
Unfortunately for many there is NO ‘right to roam’. This means you have to stay on the footpath at all times. Not only should you respect this out of courtesy for the owners but also for your own safety. Being in close proximity to some rural practices, such as tree felling, can be dangerous.
